Up for sale is a brand new Philips CDM 12.4VAM1204laser optic and motor assembly. The parts in this assembly can be used to rebuild most AMI/ROWE, Rock Ola, and NSM CDM12 with theIndustrialor CDPro Player optics and motor. Also used on some other consumer cd players compatible with this assembly. Note* This is not a full, direct drop in replacement, nor a whole CD PRO player. The parts are used to rebuild your existing player. The assemblysold maycontain either the grey or black hub as shown in pics, but both have the same OPU and spindle motor used for rebuilding. Rebuilding the proand cdm12 industrial playeris a fairly easy process. Get the parts cheaply here. Please note. Q. Will this kit workin rebuildingmy cd player?
A. This kit can be used to rebuild the optics in the Philips CDM12 Industrial and CDPRO 1252 models only. It will not work on CDM3, CDM4, or CDPRO2 1254 (CDPRO2) CD players
Q. Sometimes my cd player does not play CDs. my player spins a little then rejects the CD. Will this kitfixmy issue?
A. It depends. First you have to check what kind of cd player you have. If you have a CDPRO 1252 then this kit can be used to rebuild the optics in your CD player. Rebuilding may fix the problem but without being able to diagnose your player to make sure other components aren\'t bad then it is hard to determine exactly what is wrong with it.
Q. One of the ribbon cables are different on the kit. It does not seem to fit my player.
A. The kit will work, some assembly is required. The cable going to the OPU matches directly. The cable going to the motor is different, you have to unsolder the cable from your existing motor and solder it to the new motor.Q. Is this a full replacementof my CD player
A. No. This kit only contains the parts to rebuild the Optics in your existing CD Player. It is not a full, direct replacement.
Q. Is any assembly required to rebuildmy player?
A. Yes, some assembly is required in order to remove the Optics from the old CD player and swap it with the kit. I can provide instructions upon request during purchase
Q. Can I use the turntable hub as part of the rebuild?
A. No, the turntable hub in the assembly is not compatible with the CDPRO or the CDM12 Industrial and cannot be used.
Q. Will this kit work in other CD systems.
A. The kit is compatible with the CDM12 Industrial and CDPRO 1252. I have heard that it will work in some Beosound systems, but not sure of the model. Anything else is up to the buyer to research compatibility. I do not know if it will work in anything else.
