Natureform Incubator & Hatcher Pair (NOM-45 Converted To NMC-1000):
$5000.00

We have used this cabinet style pair for a year and a half and have successfully hatched thousands of chicks, but we are downsizing our operation and no longer need this hatching capacity.

Both units were originally NOM 45 from Natureform made for incubating emu and ostrich (ratite) eggs.  We have converted them to accommodate chicken eggs, which makes them comparable to Natureform\'s NMC 1000.  We have one of them set up as a incubator and the other as a hatcher.  Using both, you can reach a maximum hatching capability of 1500 monthly over the course of a year (18,000 eggs in 20 hatches per year).

The incubator has 5 shelves, each holding 6 trays of 30 eggs each, totally a maximum capacity of 900 regular chicken eggs.  Thirty 30-Egg trays are included.  The automatic turning rack works and turns the eggs about once per hour.  It is all digital and holds perfect temperature.   Heats to proper temp in just an hour or 2 and recovers quickly after opening.  The unit is clean, but there is some mineral buildup that doesn\'t affect the quality of the hatch.  The humidity control seems stuck in the \"on\" position, but we have easily controlled the humidity level through the pressure dial and vents...probably just needs mineral removal.

The hatcher includes a rack that holds up to 4 hatching  baskets (3 are included) and can be retrofitted for an additional 2 baskets.  Hatching baskets can be stacked on the floor of the hatcher without the rack and topped with a lid (included), but our experience was that we never had a chick jump out of the basket and we preferred to have them in a rack so that we could stand to count and remove chicks.  If you plan to hatch game chickens, you may want to use the lid!   We will include the original turning rack that we harvested shelves from to convert the other unit.  The turning mechanism does still work.  Again, it gets up to temperature  in just an hour or two and recovers quickly so chicks can be removed regularly without affecting the other eggs hatching.   Again, the unit is clean, but there is some mineral buildup.

Our hatch rate has been excellent.  We have experienced an average of about 90%, even when incubating eggs up to 16 days old.  When we keep the hatch to the recommended 6 day-old eggs, we have greatly exceeded 90%.  We just no longer need this sort of capacity.  We will include the parts we switched out when converting the units in case you ever want to switch back to ostrich or emu.  This includes 6 emu racks and thermometers.  We will also include other replacements parts we have on hand.

Local pickup only from our farm in Elm Mott, TX.  We can help load onto your trailer, but they are very heavy and you will need to bring some strong help too.  If you are needing delivery, please contact me and we can discuss possibilities.
