Other info:   The author Ray P. Holland (1884-1973) was an avid upland bird hunter from Kansas, and former editor of Field & Stream magazine. Holland was dedicated to wildlife management and served as a federal game warden early in his career. He was a talented writer, and penned several books on upland game hunting.
