M-1906 U.S. Cavalry Sword:

The M1906 was meant to replace the 1861. The new pattern, issued only in limited numbers to a portion of the then existing 10 regiments, had the same shape and size of guard, grips, and blade as the M-1861, but the guard of the new model was made of steel instead of the traditional brass. The grip is wood, covered with leather and wound with brass wire. The scabbard is browned. The Model 1906 was the last curved saber model produced for Cavalry. This saber is in fine condition with no rusting on the blade or scabbard. Some brown retained on the scabbard. Leather is intact on the grip.
