~ * Summer Bunny * ~ is a wonderful fully jointed (5 way) miniature rabbit creation. The little bunny handcrafted by Janie Comito, is sewn from long pile hand tinted upholstery fabric. His face is carefully trimmed and needle sculpted. His paws and are embroidery detailed ultra suede; eyes are bright onyx beads. He measures just 2" tall. He wears leaf green ultra suede flower collar trimmed with vintage red velvet flowers. He is firmly stuffed with carded wool roving and his arms and legs are lightly wire armatured for additional posing. The charming tiny basket, a recent find, has a Janie created liner of ultra suede leaves with flowers that match the ones on bunny's collar... a lady bug buddy perches on the rim. Janie is including a wee strawberry emery hand sewn from rich red velvet and filled with garnet powder and wool. The top leaves match the leaves on the basket and collar; the emery is finished with a glass lady bug button.

This creation is intended for the adult collector.

I’m Janie Comito, designer, collector, artisan and appreciator of lovely and fanciful objects. I have been known Internationally for 33 years for my miniature teddy bears and other animal and bird designs. I am also known for my sewing collectibles. Most of my offerings are one offs and are wonderful special items for friends and family.

All my creations are meticulously designed and hand sewn by me; they are beautifully made. Janie Comito creations are lovely to collect and I hope they speak to your heart as they spring from mine. They make terrific gifts for someone you love who simply loves beautifully crafted pieces ~ like you!
