This beautiful one-of-a-kind painting was handmade by local artist, Tom Wolfe. This unique “standee” looks stunning anywhere in the home. The rich colors and striking details add character to any decor. Because the painting is free-standing the possibilities are endless as to where you can display it. Note: This item is in new, unused condition. May contain minor idiosyncrasies due to its handmade nature but these issues are negligible at best. Not suitable for outdoor use.
About the Artist
Mr.Wolfe is a self-taught artist. He, along with his wife (also a self-taught artist who created separate works), sold his pieces at craft shows for nearly 30 years. He also created trophies for dog shows and did custom-order work.Tom recently retired and I was fortunate enough to purchase his remaining stock.
Method
All of Tom’s creations were cut and assembled by hand out of masonite board. Every single hair and feature was hand painted using a combination of acrylic paint, pastels, and ink. Each painting was then sprayed with a finish coat of varnish for protection.
