Hammarlund HQ-129-X Ham Radio - Vintage - Power For Sale -

You are offerding on a vintage Hammarlund HQ-129-X Ham Radio in good cosmetic condition and powers on. Both lamps are working. All Bakelite switches and knobs are intact and in good shape, turn smoothly. The lid hinges are working perfectly. All tubes are intact. The Gain/power switch is working. When a speaker is connected and the unit is warmed up I can here output, light static, I can also hear when turning knobs electrical response. No antenna is connected, did not pick up any transmissions, but live in the woods, so not sure what to expect and I do not know how to operate but it appears to be outputting sound and the gain knob effected the loudness of the static. There are no metal button feet on this unit. There is a discoloration on the lid exterior, see pics but no major dings or dents. The interior is in good shape, needs a cleaning. When purchased, we will individually label and wrap the tubes, and provide very robust packaging for this beauty.
This unit is part of my collection of project HAMS which I have been collecting over a long stretch of time, which I had intended to tinker and restore to full glory but alas, not enough time, and too many radios! Original power cord was frayed and of old it had been taped. I removed the old tape, and retaped the individual strands and then wrapped those with electrical tape. Cable works great no safety issue.
