Description : This is a large antique Qing dynasty gilt bronze censer. It measures 19" diameter x 10 1/4" tall...it's big. It is made of bronze the bowl part feels like it is made of material that would be about 3/32" thick, maybe 1/8". The Foos are hollow cast...There are three Foo dogs that hold the censer. Each Foo is in a different pose, one leaping with head looking backwards, one leaping with head looking front wards, thelast is chewing its paw...very interesting. I can see they are originally hand hammered riveted in place, the overall construction of the piece is very good...the castings are of very good quality.

Size : 19" diameter x 10 1/4" tall (weighs 27 lbs.)

Condition : The bowl is in good condition, you can see the polished bronzehas tarnished and the surface is spotted...I can see and have taken photos of each Foo that they have been repaired over the years. I see some solder and one actually has a screw added which can be seen on the interior of the censer. To look at the censer it's great, I am sure the surface can be cleaned as I left it just as I found it dust and all from the estate...definitely one of the most interesting pieceswe have listed in this sale.
