HP 35 Calculator - Vintage Scientific Calculator 1970s For Sale -

This sale is for a vintage HP 35 Pocket Scientific Calculator, *Carrying case, and **battery & charger. I don't know enough about it to fully test it but it seems to be in perfect working condition. All the buttons have a good feel when pressed and seem carry out some function on the screen. The original battery and charger are not included.

*Carrying case is an HP branded leather case.

**Battery and charger are used and not original nor designed to be used in this calculator. I rigged a battery from a small digital video recorder and fitted the battery compartment with foam tape to make it fit. The tape is not stuck to the calculator as it has the backing still on it. I am in no way an electronics guru so the use of this battery will be solely at your own risk. I will not be responsible for any damage to you or the calculator as a result of using this battery. I have read online that people are using three rechargable batteries in series for a total of 3.6 volts to power this calculator. My battery (3.7 volts) more closely matches the voltage of the calculator (3.75 volts) and is rechargable using the provided charger which came with the battery. Though not very attractive, it does seem to work well. I have ran the calculator for about an hour on this battery and it seems to work great without even gettingwarm. Special attention must be made not to short the contacts on the battery.
