Beautifully Mounted, great spirals and even a small .5" 3rd horn on the forehead.
This amazing animal was over 900 lbs when harvested in South Africa by a Montana Hunting Lodge Owner:
"Our PH Graham knew of this specific animal and we were able to locate it. Once shot it ran down a short embankment and across a river. I was all set to go after it but Graham said-'No Way! The river is the border line between South Africa and Botswana. In Botswana they shoot poachers on sight, and its shoot first and ask questions later' Graham and a fellow guide assured me they would recover the Kudu, I just wait here. When the two guides took there shirts off I said ' what the hell guys?' Graham informed me being white they were less likely to get shot on sight, and the wanted to make sure they knew it.
Last thing Graham did before crossing was shove a .45 pistol in his pocket. He saw the look on my face he said-'No way Im going to end up in a Botswana jail!'
The guys recovered this beast, and even made sure to brush out their tracks on the Botswana side, with no issues thank God. I ended up giving all these guys the biggest tip ever!Great piece for any collector or enthusiast! Always kept in a Non Smoking environment
