Stuttgart: Mann, 1828.Johann G. Mann painted the plant on stone and signed most of the lithographs with his initials.

The lithograph was masterfully hand colored at the time of publication.

The original printed description of the plant is part of the lot.

Condition: As shown, in exceptionally clean condition on water-marked paper with merely minor evidence of aging and storage: occasional soiling, or spotting, original paper flaws or impurities, edge or margin flaws, etc.

Pictured: The hand colored lithograph for sale, the title page and the introduction which tells about the goal of the work and that the author was an art teacher who painted all flowers himself.

The title page and the other text is shown for reference. It is not part of the lot.

For example, if you purchased five 8 inch X 12 inch prints, I would estimate that your package would weigh 5 ounces if I use a mailing tube, and I would charge $15 for s & h. If you bought additional items, your shipping and handling charges would remain the same until your package would weigh more than 8 ounces or the value is greater than 150 dollars. Then you would be charged a total of $18 for s & h, and so on.

The following shipping and handling charges are for those countries in the US Postal Service's Price Groups 3-9 (everywhere except Canada and Mexico): Up to 8.0 ounces: $15.00; 8.1 ounces to 16.0 ounces: $18.00; 16.1 ounces to 24.0 ounces: $20.00; Weights greater than 24 ounces, please ask.
