Extremely Rare Find! This is an antique Gleason Peters Brass Steam Whistle, complete with built in valve. It is 1 1/2 inches in diameter and overall 8 inches tall, with the bell itself being 4 inches tall. There are no markings on it that I see, but it is a Gleason Peters. The bell does set slightly at an angle, as the rod is slightly bent, but I will leave it up to the new owner to straighten, if desired. It does not affect the operation of the whistle, however. Should be an easy fix. There are no other issues I see. You also get the wooden display stand as well.
