Once in a while you have the opportunity to own something that\'s just a little different, a cut above all the others. That time has comewith this excellent Getzen Tone Ballanced Super Deluxe Cornet, serial #35768.It is straight as an arrow with no indication of prior repairs (that have not already been disclosed). The original lacquer has taken a beautiful dark golden hue.The lacquer on the main tuning slide is much brighter, indicating that it is not original. However, I would be really surprised to find out it is from a repair. Absolutely no indication of it!The horn is a great player with excellent compression, fantastic valves- no blow by or side play, slides are all tight and smooth.This one is much better than the average Super Deluxe Cornets I have seen, comeswith original casein good shape, one of the latches springs open and one doesn\'t. Two period Getzen mouthpieces, one deeper than the other, both have nasty plyer scratches on them but playing surfaces are in good shape. Also has a no name mouthpiecein pristine condition that is a duplicate of the Getzens.
