Dog caricatures are created from wood, in a unique three-dimensional (3-D) design. They are constructed to hang OUTSIDE from your porch, tree, or deck, and are crafted with durability in mind. How are they made? First,I draw the CUTEST dog caricatures around! ThenI use 1/2” thick, layered birch asthe wood,and carefully cut-outmy caricature design. I follow by finely sanding each piece, assembling the 3-D pieces and painting with quality paints.Finally,I top seal with TWO coats of plastic urethane. Each dog is resting in a hammock, holding a matching umbrella and a drinkwith a butterfly on their foot. The umbrella states “Basset Hound Country Club”; which says to everyone a Spoiled Dog lives here. The front is painted in detail and hand-lettered; back is all black.

This is NOT the “junky”, cheaply-made signs from overseas markets. This is an American made craft that is 1.5” thick when parts layer on top of each other—it is MADE TO LAST in your garden. As with any wooden craft; re-coating each year with poly extends its’ lifetime. The last picture is of my Weimaraner in a hammock, hanging under my mailbox on the porch. It has been hanging outside for four (4) years and still looks great!
