Freshwater Pom Pom Crab (Ptychognathus barbatus) :
Your little crustacean is and will always be tiny, growing to about 1.5 inches in diameter. We don't recommend keeping these fellows with shrimp, as they may feast on their friends. However, they are very peaceful and for the most part ignore their fellow tank mates (unless they are a shrimp).
The Freshwater Pom Pom Crab reportedly has pockets of population throughout many tropical and sub-tropical regions in Africa, Asia, and Australia. They inhabit both brackish and fully freshwater areas and it is suspected that this crab spawns in brackish water and move to freshwater after their larval stage. Unlike most “freshwater” crabs, this crab is truly fully aquatic. However, we do advise keeping your water line a couple of inches low or keeping a lid on your aquarium, as these crabs can make like Houdini.

We lovingly pack all of our friends to try and ensure they have a safe voyage to their new homes, however, we know sometimes things happen and they don't make it. We ask for a DOA notice within 1 hr of delivery and photos. We will then either issue a refund or reship.
