Shell with gold fixtures repeater carriage clock circa 1899:
$2800.00

This is a beautifully made antique shell clock with gold fixtures. It is hallmarked (see photo) and is in superb condition. Its dimensions are: 3\" W x 23/4 D\" x 5\" T. It automatically chimes the hours (one chime for each hour), and chimes once at each half hour. Press the button on top and it repeats the hours. The chime is loud and clear, a lovely tone. The clock and the repeater mechanism work flawlessly. Click the links below to hear it in action.

Clock chiming.

Movement while chiming.

It is working perfectly and keeps really good time. It has a seven day movement, and fully winds in just a few turns of its key, which is included. If you pick it up locally, you will see it working. If I mail it, it will be packed very carefully, but is not guaranteed to run when you get it, as shipping can be hard on clocks. At worse, you\'ll need to take it to your clockmaker for quick servicing. (Note that when I received it a year ago by FedEx from England, it arrived in perfect working order.)

I\'ve added a picture at the end that shows this clock next to others I\'m selling, for size comparison.

Derek Roberts valued this clock at $4,800, so my price is quite a bargain. This is a good investment piece.
