Eton E1XM Shortwave AM FM SSB SW Ham Radio Receiver Grundig For Sale -

This Eton E1XM (SN 1383) has been used for a total of 2-3 hours during its entire lifetime. It was purchased, tested and placed in a humidity controlled closet back in 2007. Downsizing my collection of shortwave and ham related radios prior
to moving; this radio is one of many that will be listed in the upcoming weeks.

Condition is near mint (I would say mint but the rubber coating is sticky) and the unit was tested on AM, FM, SSB (10M and 40M) using the AC adapter and batteries before listing. Antenna is straight and unmolested, all controls work as designed and the display is bright and scratch-free. There are several threads on the Internet that detail how to minimize the sticky body coating but I will leave that up to the new owner.

This is a rather unique portable radio; less than 9000 units were made and many were snapped up by SWL and Amateur Radio enthusiasts for their collections and listening pleasure. Here is your chance to add a near perfect model with the original packing, accessories and the hard-to-find XM antenna (never opened). I will also include the antenna adapter plug.

Whether you are listening to AM,short-wave, FM or XM, you will experience superior audio quality via a bridgedtype audio amplifier, large built in speaker and continuous bass and trebletone controls. Stereo line-level output is provided for recording or routingthe audio into another device such as a home stereo. The absolutely stunning LCDhas 4 levels of backlighting and instantly shows you the complete status ofyour radio. Many receiver parameters such as AM step, FM coverage, beep,kHz/MHz entry etc., can be set to your personal taste via the preference menu.The E1 XM has a built in telescopic antenna for AM, short wave and FMreception.
