Description from blue book: \"C-3 \'THEMONTEREY\' - Spanish guitar configuration, compact body with mahogany backandsides and a maple top, topand back body binding with double top purfling, set slim adj. neck,14/19-fret rosewoodfingerboard with dot inlays, standard headstock, three-per-side tuners,C-style resonator with twodiamond hole plate round soundholes, trapeze tailpiece, available inNatural finish, 23.25 in.scale, mfg. 1965-69.

In 1965, standardproduction of Dobros was underway again in Gardena, CA. Ed Dopyera\'s sonEmil Dopyera, along with afew partners, received a license to build instruments under the Dobrotrademark. In 1966, Mosritefounder, Semie Moseley, purchased Dobro and continued producingthe same models that wereintroduced a year earlier and eventually moving production to theMosrite production facilityin Bakersfield, CA. The Mosrite/Dobro era lasted until 1969 whenMosrite went bankrupt andproduction ceased. Instruments produced in Gardena, CA under theDopyera-ownership haveserial numbers stamped on the top of the headstock. Instrumentsproduced in Bakersfield, CAunder Mosrite ownership have serial numbers stamped in thefingerboard toward thebody. No serial number lists exist for either era of manufacture.
