very rare limited edition art piecedOUGLAS CLOUtIER extra largeswarovski crystal and leather dog collarsigned and numbered
once in a blue moon, we come across an item that is totallyOUTRAGEOUS andjaw dropping and this is one of those items! This was made about a decade ago but appears to be in unused / new condition.
douglas cloutier, a los angeles based photographer and artist is known for his elaborate statement pieces and over the top use of bling in his decorative objects. sought after by interior designers and celebrities, his pieces sold in stores like bergdorf goodman, barneys NY, and high end boutiques in beverly Hills, etc. he created objects like mirrors, jewelry boxes, picture frames and apparently dog collars! his pieces have sold on 1st dibs and is increasingly very difficult to find.
this stunning limited edition dog collar is very heavy and weighs almost 1 lb.!it's a phenomenal beauty and comes with a signed certificate and velvet lined hard box.
the certificate reads " certificate of authenticity - this document certifies that this "sunday collar" is an original, limited editionARTWORKby choke couture. style: baguette. edition # 93/1000" signed by douglas cloutier (artist). though the certificate states there were 1,000 of these limited edition collars made, we were informed that probably only 100 of these collars were ever created but can't verify it as such.
there are 13 large baguettes which measures over 1" long x 7/8" widethere are 14 vertical four stacked round crystal cabochonseach individual round cabochon measuring 1/4" inDIAMeter
each baguette and cabochon cluster is set on a very sturdy fastening attached to the collar (not sewn on).
