Cute VTG Signed Gucci Dachshund Dog Statue Large Size Must See!

Presented is a charming vintage Gucci statue of a dachshund. This piece likely dates to around the 1950s-1970s, and was acquired from an estate with a large collection of items from the same time period. The statue is cast in silver metal, possibly nickel, over bronze, very solid and weighty. The casting is quite detailed and lifelike, with fine fur texturing and an expressive face. The dog is shown wearing a collar and standing in an attentive position. The metal currently has a lot of oxidation and a little green patina here and there, giving it an antique look, and we opted to leave it mostly as we found it, but it could easily be cleaned up to a brighter look if the buyer prefers.

This piece is in excellent condition. The details and texture are nice and crisp. There are no breaks and no repairs.

The dog is signed Gucci as well as Made in Italy on the underside of one paw.

The dog is about 14 1/4 inches long from nose to tail and stands about 6 3/4 inches tall at the highest point, the tip of the tail.

The statue weighs 3140 grams or 7 pounds.
