Set of 4 Italian 800 silver figural open salts, ca 1950. Each: cast figure of recumbent golden retriever next to bowl. A super cute canine with floppy ears and fat paws whose collar is buried in all that soft fur. Bowl has gilt interior. Two salts have indistinct Italian hallmark (1944-68). The other two possibly unmarked. Beautiful form with fine details and rich patina.
Dimensions: H 1 1/8 x W 4 3/4 x D 2 7/8 in. Total weight: 13 troy ounces. BM772
