This classic gope board comes from the Papuan Gulf of New Guinea and was collected there in the 1960-70\'s by a forestry worker as with the others I have listed. The boarddepicts two ancestral faces and represents a spirit which offers protection from disease and evil for its owners. The board is carved from hardwood and has been decorated with pigments that are in good condition with some muting and loss to the white. It measures 80cm x 15cm. Registered Post within Australia will cost between $16AU and $24AU. Airmail to the US will be $45AU and anywhere in Europe $48AU
