Civil War Era 1860s Green printed Silk Maternity Dress For Sale - New and Used

A striking 1860’s Civil War era printed green silk maternity dress. The fabric has a small pink flower and black stripe pattern on a kelly green background. The front and back of the bodice have wide lapels that extend over the top of the sleeves. The neck, armscyes and back waist are piped. The front waist and side bodice seams have been altered to turn this into a maternity dress. They are period alterations. The dress is fully lined with cotton and has a front hook and eye closure. There are a few added modern hooks and yes added to the front of the bodice but these can easily be removed as all the original hooks and eyes are present. The dress is in very good and sturdy condition. There is some underarm discoloration and period mends under the arms. There is one 1 inch surface only split near the edge of the front hemline.
