** Chinese Gilt and Lacquer Carved Wood Seated Official, Circa 17th to 18th Century. Carved in the form of an official in a seated position, hands joined together in front, with a serene facial expression with eyes in a downward gaze. Wearing a domed hat, long draping robe with sash, and pendant around neck. Covered in gold leaf and lacquer with black accents throughout. Figure attached to a custom stand with velvet cover.
HEIGHT: 25.3 cm (9.9 in)
CONDITION: Wear to lacquer and gold leafing with some loss, and fading to velvet cover on stand. (SEE PHOTOS BELOW)
