This was shot with a great painted backdrop showing a camp-life scene, the American flag, etc. There are fine scratches noting a different brass matte at one point, the case with red-velvet liner seems in fair condition, a great, evocative piece of 1860s photography.Needless to say, this is a genuine original, period piece, not a copy or reproduction.
