Bush & Lane Duo-Vox Phonograph c.1921 Project Machine For Sale -

Offered here is a rare Bush & Lane Duo-Vox console phonograph. This was the only company who made this dual reproducer type of phonograph.This is a project machineThe motor, turntable, turntable brakes, and lateral reproducer work great. I rebuilt the tone arm base and it operates very smoothly. The grill is present and in good condition, the horn is in good condition. The record storage shelves are also in good condition. The doors in the front are in good condition as are their hinges.HOWEVER, the Edison reproducer is missing and the cabinet finish needs a lot of work. The cabinet itself is solid and in good condition but the veneer it toast. The pictures pretty much tell the story. I polished up one side of the top and it really sparkles, you can tell it had a beautiful 'piano' finish when it was new, but 15 years in the barn took it's toll on the veneer.The parts are worth more than the whole, but it would be nice to have someone restore this machine so I am offering it as a project machine. I do not have the facilities to do the necessary woodwork, but the mechanics of the machine are fine.LOCAL PICKUP ONLY at
