Beginner/Medium Difficulty
These corals are mostly stony which are a little more advanced than our intro coral package. These are mostly large polyp stony corals which tend to be more forgiving than most stony corals. All stony corals want the water's alkalanity, calcium, and mag to be relatively stable which is what raises the difficulty level on these corals from beginner corals. That being said, the selected corals can handle a lot of water parameter fluctuations in stride. Worst case scenario for most of these is that they just don't grow as well if the conditions aren't kept stable. As such even though they aren't as ez to keep as our beginner pack they are just a small attainable step above. For reference, we keep our tanks at around 8-9 dkh on alkalinity, 400-450 on calcium, and anywhere from 1350-1450 on magnesium.
These corals have been selected for this pack based on not just their beauty but also for their hardiness. We have included some care/placement instructions below that should help you position these corals for success! If you have any questions after receiving your corals please feel free to reach out to us and we'll help you out. We want to see our babies thrive in their new home as much as you do!
The corals are pictured above in the collage and are named the following from top left to bottom right:
  • WWC Bizarro Cyphastrea - Truly stunning coloration, they prefer lower light and lower flow. If they get too much light the purple base color will start fading a bit. If that starts to happen put it in a shadier spot.
  • Indo Green Hammer Coral - A branching euphyllia that will give your tank a lot of movement and coloration. Considered one of the hardiest of the euphyllia coral they prefer medium light and flow. You can tell if this coral is happy based on how much extension you see on the coral.
  • OG Superman Shroom - This is a classic coral that is famous for its super bright red/orange on a blue base. It's also pretty much bulletproof and as such has earned its super hero namesake. It does prefer lower light and flow. You can tell if its getting too much light if it doesn't extend fully or starts showing white stringy structures from it skin.
  • Blueberry Stylo - This is an intro to SPS coral that is both hardy and beautiful. This coral will have bright blue polyps all over and yellow growth tips. It prefers relatively strong to medium light and it also likes medium flow or better.
  • WWC Jingle Bells Cyphastrea - This coral has a greenish base and red polyps. It does prefer lower light and flow butt can handle higher light and flow pretty well. If coloration seems to be fading then move it to a lower light area.
  • Tri-color Honeycomb Coral - The honeycomb coral appreciates lower to medium lighting and is not too picky on flow.
  • Jason Fox Jack-o-lantern Lepto - This is one of the brightest corals in any tank. It prefers lower lighting and also isn't too picky on flow but prefers low to medium flow.
  • Dragon Soul Chalice - An interesting looking coral, chalices like lower light and flow in general. This one is not an exception to that.
  • Jason Fox John Deere Lepta - A very cool coral that has yellow/orange polyps and a green skeleton/base. These can handle medium light but seem to prefer lower light. Any manner of flow seems to be fine with them as well.
  • Yellow Fever Shroom -This shroom can get super big... like 4-5 inches or so under lower lighting. Under stronger lighting they tend to get no more than 2-3 inches in size. It is a nice green with brighter green/yellow spots all over. They don't care for a lot of flow. Strong flow can cause them to detach and look for a more gentler spot to reside in.
  • Candy Cane Coral- This LPS coral is a true classic. It is a pale bluish green and prefers medium/low lighting and medium/low flow. If its getting too much flow or light the flesh will tend to shrink in and the coral will lose its trademark puffiness.
  • Forest Fire Digitata - Forest Fire is a branching montipora. It can handle all manner of light and flow but does color up best under higher lighting. It gets green skin and bright reddish polyps with bluish/white growth tips.
