Birks Sterling Silver Tea Serving Four Pieces With Hot Water Pot Hallmarks For Sale - New and Used

Up for sale is four piece sterling silver tea service from Birks. There is a teapot, hotwater pot, creamer and sugar. The set is in excellent condition with almost no signs of useage. Excellent hinge work on both pots.

The pieces are all hallmarked for Birks, sterling (lion passant), and the dateletter n for the year 1928. There are serial or pattern numbers on each piece: C-84911 and 3945B.

The teapot is 4 1/4 inches high and 12 inches from spout to handleat the widest point. The hotwater pot is 9 inches to the finial. The sugar and creamer are both 3 1/4 inches high.

This is a very elegant tea service made for Birks Jewellers, The Tiffany of Canada. There is an intricate and well engraved design.

There is a great deal of sterling here. We won't get an accurate weight because of the bakelite handles and knop. Please compare with other Birks sets on at well over $2000.00.

The gross weight on these four pieces is 3 pounds and 8 ounces approximately. The great majority of this is sterling but the hollow bakelite handles must be considered as well.
