This unit was sold new in 1999, was completely rebuilt in 2003 by barber - sold to a golf course- basicly a new machine old frame

The unit is in working condtion, ready to go to work. I have used this machine it does work. Some tines are bent and missing, HOWEVER the unit is working in its present condtion. Some of the hyd hose will need to be replaced - 2 front ones,- weather damage. The chain Cover is missing see pics. 1 front caster wheel is bent.

This type of machine has a proven record for cleaning up oil spills on beaches.

This machine can clean up to 8 acres an hour with its 7 foot wide cleaning width, the 600HD has the greatest cleaning capacity of any beach cleaner. The 2 cubic yard hopper can lift up to 3,700 lbs of material and dump its contents hydraulically from a clearance height of 9 feet.The Barber SURF RAKE is a unique mechanical rake operated by one person from the seat of a towing tractor. It provides safe, fast and efficient beach cleaning. Here is how it works: The moldboard levels uneven areas of the sand. A 3/8\" grid of stainless steel spring tines rake debris from the sand toward an adjustable deflector plate. As a result, refuse is deposited on the conveyor to the hydraulically raised hopper. The result: a clean, safe and well manicured beach!Hundreds of stainless steel tines, mounted in offset rows, rake through the sand every second, removing the unwanted debris. Even the smallest objects such as glass, cigarette butts, and pop-tops are captured by the SURF RAKE and deposited in the hopper.
