I
just adore these vintage postcard rabbits......they are my
newest design inspired by the old vintage rabbit postcards.
I have done this one in a Vintage French inspired theme with her
fancy vintage black & white laces & trims and a french enamel
tag that reads.... DAMES ET MESSIEURS Rue du Louvre
- PARIS....and she even has a handstamped LAPIN (means french
for rabbit) linen ribbon.
She is
my unique design featuring a jointed swivel head and
is all handtinted too! I really LOVE the way this design
turned out...a great outstanding piece to display on your mantle
or tabletops...especially with some old shabby French vintage
collections too!!!
This is a perfect piece for any vintage
rabbit collector !!
These new toy designs are my own design & patterns,
sketched and drawn by me. I am always
designing new & original pieces to collect so check back

She is wonderfully distressed to look like
she came out of an old
trunk in the attic but she is newly made by me and is my Original Copyright Design &
Pattern.

MY INSPIRATION POSTCARD FOR MY DESIGN
I am a little poseable too.....
I designed his body to be tall and skinny and to stand on his
own like the vintage rabbits on the old postcards. He is made
of hand dyed cream color mohairs then I hand tinted him in
black spots all over his body! He has
a different style rabbit head than what I have done in the past.
His ears are both lined with vintage cream cotton,
then I aged and lightly shaded soft pink inside. His eyes are black german
glass and shaded. His nose is sparse-stitched in pink thread
and then I applied my signature color wax technique to make it
look older. His neck is jointed & swivels.
He can stand all by himself.
I gave him many various pieces of vintage laces & trims around
his neck
and an antique chippy white boot button. Also this fabulous
french enamel tag that has french graphics on it. I also
handstamped the word LAPIN on a piece of vintage fabric. He has an aged cotton pom-pom
that is also black spotted, for his cute little
tail too! He is somewhat poseable as he has wire armature arms
and legs.
He really did turn out FABULOUS and if you love antique
vintage rabbits & old vintage shabby pieces then you won't
be disappointed in this guy!
He is firmly stuffed
with woodwool and sand & gravel,for weight and
texture. His neck is hardware jointed.
His body has wire armature.
He will
come with my signed hang tag so you know that you are getting an Original Whimsical
Whendi's Bear and not an imitation !
He is
shown standing and can stand alone .
As with all my
work, including clothing & accessories, it is for the Adult Collector only and not
intended for children.
This sale is for the standing rabbit ONLY!He would look fabulous displayed
on a vintage cabinet or tabletop with your other antique toys & vintage
french collections!
