Unique & rare antique Chinese coral & gilt silver (gold wash over the silver) bracelet, tests as solid silver and marked 'CHINA' (made before 1926) .The bracelet is crafted out of 6 hinged sections with masterfully made applied ornate silver decorations & filigree wire work, and 6 large carved coral bird with flowers cameos.The fine-quality sea coral is natural, not dyed, not treated. The carved coral cameos are a well matched deep rich salmon/red color. The coral is hand-polished and has a wonderful luster. The natural striations typical to coral are visible through magnification. Such beautiful coral is very hard to find.The bracelet measures 7" long wearable length, and 1.25" wide. The coral measures 1 inch x .5 (1/2) inch each. The bracelet weighs a sturdy 1.5 ounces.The bracelet is in excellent condition with slight signs of wear commensurate with age & use. The clasp works properly & the stones are secure.This jewelry is vintage & antique, not new and have appropriate age wear although in excellent condition.
