Up forsale isa1913 Model Piper's

Ok, this is something I just don't run acroos very often but I will do my best to explain this great item I recently picked up in an old collection. The knife is an MK III 1913 modelPiper's Dirk Knife made for the Scottish Military. Asfar as I can tell the last issue of this item was in 1916. Teh handle looks to be carved ebony wood with nickel silver studs and all the other fitting on the knife and scabbard appear to be nickel silver as well. The marking are very visible on both sides of the blade and number "23" is marked on the bolster. The scabbard is leather wrapped wood and the blade should be crafted from sword steel. Not sure exactly how to grade this one but it is in what I would say appears to be excellent condition for its nearly 100 year age. the is some light pitting and some great patina on the blade, some small nicks around the handle and wear on the leather on the scabbard. The dirk measures close to 18" overall with a blade that is right at 12". Great old item!! Offered here at and offerding starts at .99 cents.
