ANTIQUE FRENCH ARMORIAL HAND PAINTED ENAMEL & GLASS BON BON DISH HERALDIC DOG
A small French footed bon bon dish made of gilt ormolu metal circa 1900 or earlier. The bowl has been hand painted with an armorial emblem of a dog, crown and fleur de lys. The painted image is under concave glass so remains in good condition. Some evidence of crazing to the blue areas and a small pin prick of flaking paint on the edge as seen. A small area of damaged gilt under the foot as seen. The bowl measures 4.5 inches in diameter and stands 1.5 inches high.
