Eleocharis parvulus, also known as Dwarf Hairgrass, is native to North America and is a relative fast growing species with medium length (3~5 in), bright green, needle-shaped leaves that will eventually form a dense \"carpet\" over substrate. It\'s been commonly used as foreground or mid ground plant in an nature style planted aquarium. This plant can be cut to any length without hurting the leaf.
