This is a listing for 20 stems of pearl weed, which is also known as Hemianthus Micranthemoides. It is a beautiful green plantthat grows readily in almost most aquariums. It is a really good starting plant that can grow even in sand/gravel as long as you provide light and some fertilizing tabs. The image attached is grown in those conditions.If you have lower light, the plant will grow much slower, but it will not die. If you have low light and not a nutritious substrate, you might run into problems, so please make sure that you meet at least the minimum conditions that I have included at the end of the listing.With frequent trimming, this plant can serve as a carpet. Over time or with nutritious substrate, the plant will grow really fast and provide a good "natural" environment for fish and shrimp in your aquarium. An additional benefit if this plant, once it has been fully established and growing, is that it takes up excess nutrients and therefore reducing the chances of developing algae. If you have a new system, get as many fast growing plants planted as soon as you set up the aquarium--this will help you cycle the aquarium faster.
