1937 Newfoundland License Plate with Coronation Crown For Sale -

Up for sale is a 1937passenger car license plate from the Dominion of Newfoundland issued prior to Confederation with Canada. This plate has all original paint and no extra holes; it lies nice and flat but has a beautiful coating of good old-fashioned North Atlantic rust. Despite thatneither the metal nor the paint is severely affectedand it gives it a fine, rugged patina evocative of the island of Newfoundland itself.Please look at the photo and rate the condition according to your own standards. The large crown on the left of the plate was used for only this year in Newfoundland and was embossed there to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth II\'s father. That makes this plate quite collectible since it also appeals to collectorsof royalty memorabilia. rules require me to state the obvious, namely that this plate is more than 3 years old; in fact it\'s exactly 78 years old and it doesn\'t comearound very often.It is offered for collecting purposes only and fully within \'s guidelines.
