Note Regarding Photos: When you look at the photos of the outside panels you will see what look to be white lines coming from the top of the gold rim through the green band at the top down to the top of where the handles join the body of the tyg. These are not cracks they are reflections from the camera. When Iupdated the photos this morning I went back to look at the tyg again very carefully and there are noother cracks or repairs other than the \"V\"I noted above and below.I have had this piece for many years and the onlyrepair is the one noted the rest of it is in excellent shape. You will be hard pressed to pick one of these up very often as there were so few made. And, even with the repair it is an exceptional piece that you can pick at a significant discount asa mint oneruns well over $1,000 when you find them.

AVery Rare 1900 Queen Victoria Transvaal War Copeland Spode Subscribers Copy Tygmade for Thomas Goode and Company, South Audley Street, London. Over the years I haveresearched thisvery rare tygand have foundthat only 150 of these were made.It has three (3) decorative panels. On one sidethe banneris inscribed \"Transvall War\". Beneath is an ovalmedallion witha portrait ofQueen Victoria, the border of the medallion is inscribed \"Victoria Queen and Empress - Comforter of the Afflicted\" .The medallion is surmounted by The Imperial State Crown and surrounded with the Empires flags and the emblems of the Colonies. Beneath is the inscription \"Equal Rights For All\" Onanother side at the top there is a banner inscribed \"Imperial Federation\" This side has four medallions with pictures of Field-Marshall Lord Roberts C.V. G.C.B., Commander in Chief of South African Forces. The Most Hon. Marquis of Salisbury, K.G., Prime Minister. A Victoria Cross - Valour Crushes Cowardice ,A Red Cross - Our Countries Pride, Humanity and within are listings the major events / victories up to that point. Beneath is a banner inscribed Unity is Strength\". The entire panel is decorated with the British floral emblems. On the final and third side is a banner inscribed \"Britannia Tower of Justice\" and on that side is a medallion picture of Britannia and a Miner and flanked on either side by a Naval Rating and a member of an Imperial Yeomanry unit. Beneath is a banner inscribed \"Defender of the Oppressed\". The interior of the rim is inscribed with a listing of the names of the key officers who fought in the various campaigns. Each of the threehandles of thetygis decorated with different British floral emblem, The rose of England, the shamrock of Ireland and the thistle of Scotland and are all lavishly applied with gilt decoration..rarely does thistyg come onto the market are many have some type of damage. As noted above this one does have the damaged noted, but it has been expertly repaired by a master craftsman. People that know me know that I am pretty much a perfectionist (just ask my wife) so for me to purchase this repaired tyg it had to meet my strict requirements. And, that is thatthe repair had to be so well done that you had to look real hard to ever see it. And, I will tell you if someone looked at it the only way they wouldknow it is to look at the \"V\" on the inside. It does not show through to the frontexcept in the two spots on the top gold rim as noted above andshown in the photos and does not come into the rest of the decoration. I still donot know howthey did it but you absolutely do not see the crack into the Queen Victoria panel on theoutside. I still would like to know how they did it. I can tell you that based on the yellowcolor of the crack inside itwas repaired a long time ago.The tygmeasures5 1/2\"H and 7 1/2\" across the handles and is 5 1/2\" across the bottom of the tyg.It is marked on the basewith the T.Goode and Copeland backstamp.

I did research to see if any others were for sale on and there is one in the UK for over $1,100 and it is Mint.Due to the repair noted I have placed a fair price for this one but will consider reasonable offers.
