✰✰✰✰✰ Here is a painted mask, 1890s or early 20th century, a ceremonial piece used by the Fraternal group ODD FELLOWS or its women\'s order The Rebekah Assembly. It is a wire screen framed by a steel band, with a purple flesh color face, rouge cheeks, and painted eyes and nostrils. It is of the variety that is professionally made as opposed to a homemade mask, and was likely manufactured and / or sold by DeMoulon Bros & Co of Greenville, Illinois who offered such goods through beautifully illustrated catalogs which themselves are now quite scarce. It is in very good condition with rust spots and one tiny hole as shown at the bridge of the nose under the right eye but with all color intact. There is a small dent on the tip of the nose, otherwise the form is excellent. Evidence of the band or string that held it in place. A scarce piece and in better condition than the same mask I have listed that ends on the Wednesday (midday) before this sale\'s Sunday evening close.These are my last two masks so good luck offerding.
