Offered in this sale is a large American sterling silver art nouveau vase that was made by Theodore B Starr in New York circa 1900. It measures roughly 17\" tall x 5 5/8\" in diameter across the base. It weighs close to 31 troy ounces or just a little over 2 pounds on a postal scale. The art nouveau Iris flower and leave decoration is wonderfully done. It has a monogram on one side that I don\'t find distracting. It has an impressed mark on the base that reads THEODORE B STARR NEW YORK STERLING 1669. Above this is an etched number 37754. Other than the fact it could use a good polishing, the condition is excellent.
