Tigers offers this huge museum quality Dolomite rhombohedral with calcite mineral specimen. This piece is massive it weighs around 15 pounds and measures 18 inches long x 12 inches wide x 5 1/2 inches high. The piece is from a mine in Chihuahua, Mexico. It has a great look covered with mountainous groups of saddle shaped crystals with scattered calcite crystals (the piece has a coral look to it) and a heavy white matrix base. This is a rare form and is very brittle most pieces this size (when you can find them) have the ears broken off there are a few handling spots where some are chipped but on a piece this large you do not notice. This specimen is a rare size with most having been broken up and sold as several smaller display pieces. Please do your research view photos and ask questions.
