Reign of Philip IV, King of France, A.D. 1333. A 1 page folio dcument on heavy vellum dated the Monday before the Feast of St. Vincent, 1333 at Caylus in the Tant et Garonne district in Southern France whereby Ramon Fornier gives a receipt to Guilhem Despramon, son of the late Arnal, an inhabitant of Caylus, for the sum of 8 pounds, the price of a plot of land sold to the aforementioned Guilhem, in the district of Las Garigas, the deed received by M. Bernat Bernardonis, Royal Notary. Good condition, heavy wrinkling but virtually completely legible is one reads Latin and Occitan, an ancient language of Southern France, Spain and Italy similar to Catalan.
