These are anywhere from 6mm-20mm, youth and adults.

Once you receive the snails the following steps need to be taken to ensure their survival.

1. Bring the box in from the outside ASAP, or have the post office hold it. Heat in the summer time and cold in the winter months can cause great harm to them.

2. Float the bag in your tank for 30 minutes to an hour.

3. Put a small amount of tank water in a bowl, remove the snails from their bag and any wrapping they are in, usually paper towel. Let the snails sit in the water for another hour before adding to the main tank. Net them out, and add to your tank.

4. Enjoy them eating algae, these are a great clean up crew. I use them in my breeding tanks, guppy tank and shrimp tank.

How to tell if a snail is dead:

1. Smell it.

2. The shell is empty.

Snails will spend days where they don't move, that isn't how to tell if you have one that didn't make it.
