Andrew Heiskell (August 21, 1915, Naples - July 6, 2003 Darien, Connecticut) was chairman and CEO of Time Inc. (1960–1980), and also known for his philanthropy, including for the New York Public Library. He was President of the Inter American Press Association (1961–1962).
He was born in Naples to American parents and spent his childhood abroad.In 1946, aged just 30, he was named publisher of Life; later, as CEO, he had to close it down (in 1972). In 1974 he created People, which rapidly became a great asset.
He was married three times. His second wife was the Hollywood actress Madeleine Carroll. His third wife, whom he married in 1965, was Marian Sulzberger Dryfoos, the widow of New York Times publisher Orvil Dryfoos.
The Institute of International Education\'s Andrew Heiskell Award is named for him. Heiskell donated funds to pay for the Arts Director position at the American Academy in Rome which is currently being served by American poet Karl Kirchwey.

Harlan Logan Visual EnterpriseDaniel Lawrence O\'Keefe (February 25, 1928 – August 29, 2012) was an editor at Reader\'s Digest, author, and the inventor of Festivus, an annual secular holiday now celebrated on December 23. His son, Dan O\'Keefe, was a writer for the Seinfeld[3] television show and incorporated the family holiday into an episode of the program, and in 2005 published The Real Festivus.
O\'Keefe published the book Stolen Lightning: The Social Theory of Magic in 1982. The Los Angeles Times Book Review called this book \"a spectacular synthesis of sociology, anthropology, and psychoanalysis... a tour de force of accessible scholarship.\" The New York Times Book Review called it \"a powerful explication of how deeply magic is embedded in society,\" and Commonweal dubbed it \"a potential classic.\"Festivus
