Beautiful Raw Brass Besson Trumpet England Free US Shipping MP Case NR BIN For Sale -

Presented here, abeautiful, sweet playin\' piece of history! The Besson Stratford in Bb, made in England.Amid to pro level horn preserved ingorgeous,100%polished,paint-peeling, shiny, raw brass with a nickel outer slides and accents as shown! Cosmetically the horn is 98-99% andmechanically sound.It has afew small scratches, nicks, and inconsequential dings overall. The pearls are nice, atop matching nickel buttons.Serial #1466XX dates it sometime in or just after1948, according to the Besson serial # list. (Note: the features of this horn indicate a possible manufacturer of Boosey & Hawkes.The ser # also fits with B&H and dates it pre-war, 1936and one of the very first made that year,almost 80 years ago!)If so, what an even coolerfind, lol! The freecase, Besson branded,probably original, is an orangeplastic, clamshellinserviceable condition, no keys. Decent inside with a couple of outward issues.A couple ofbottomcorners arebroken outexposing the foambut still plenty serviceable.This onefeatures a trapdoorstorage box and anice cradle for decentprotection.Hardware is in good shape.It is what it is andI\'m throwing it in.Keyword here is FREE!And besides...I just couldn\'t bearto seperate this old coupleof nearly 70 (80?)years, lol. They still go good together!

Mouthpiece is anice,Bach 7C ingoodusedcondition with thenormalinsertionmarks as shown. Looks good, plays like a Bach!

Now, back to the prize...Like I say,the horn looksgreat andsounds incredible!As the pics show, the oldhornpresentsfanatically well.Bell is very nice! This one has thecool, Boosey & Hawkes style, forward facing 2nd slide!Just thump this tankon the bell wire, sounds like a sweet-ringing bell!That reverberation adds to the response fromthis fine, easy-blowing horn, almost like it talks to ya!Recently professionally serviced, the slides are smooth,friction ratio and slide alignmentawesome.Valves are smooth and lightning fast.One valve guidehas the ears used to install it off. Doesn\'t effect playability, so I left it alone.Compressionis great.Water keys are good.Nice thing about raw brass is that the small scratches are SO easy to polish out! She\'s a fine, good lookin\', well balanced, awesome playin\'horn with extraordinary fit and finish. She\'s certainly one you\'ll want to show off!
