Hi there!  Nice to find a site for pet lovers!  Hoping to maybe connect with others here. 
   
About me, I'm 40 years old, divorced, no kids, and my pets are my children.  I'm sure a lot of people can relate to that. 
   
I've had dogs all my life, but my last one died in Sept. 07.  Still miss him, but I can smile when I look at his picture now. 
   
About 6 months ago, I adopted a cat and it was the first cat I've ever had.  Shubert is a love, but he's also a handfull and is a bit too smart (ie. he gets into anything he chooses and doorknobs are not a deterent!).  lol  I wasn't planning on getting another cat, but on Dec. 30th, 2008, my neighbour found a kitten outside in -40C weather  The neighbour couldn't take her, so I said I'd watch her for the night.  Well...I fell in love, and the next day I took Destiny to the vet for her check-up and vaccinations.  The two cats get along great, but to be honest, I'm feeling a bit left out.  Neither seems to need me as much now that they have each other!  lol
