My home is a zoo. I have my dog, Stanley. My cat, Snuggles. My two Leopard Geckos, Milo & Maddison. And recently, my gerbil, Waffles.
Stanley is a two 1/2 year old purebred Golden Retriever, but he was the runt of the litter. He also has a goofy curly coat. I trained him myself and he can run agility & jump hurdles. He is taking classes to become a therapy dog. I'd like him to specilize in deaf children, so his basic commands such as "sit", "lay down", ect.) not only have words, but hand motions that he understands. He walks/runs next to me without a leash, loves going on bike/car/boat rides, swims whenever near water, and chases any ball. He's my baby boy.
Snuggles is a 10 year old american short hair. I rescued him from the pound when he was 11 months old. He's an indoor/outdoor cat, and very healthy for his old age. He pretends to hate Stanely whenever someone is looking, but, we often catch him sleeping next to the dog. He loves anything he cat bat across the floor, and string is his favorite. He steals pens, and I'm not sure why. He's a crazy boy, but, I love him.
Milo & Maddison are both High-Yellow Leopard Geckos. Milo is roughly 2 1/2 years old, and Maddy is about 1 1/2. They are a breeding pair and have given birth to two succesful batches of eggs. Milo is a big boy and loves to bask on his rock. Maddy is very laid back and can usually be found sleeping in her burrow.
Waffels is about 1 1/2 years old. I obtained him from an elementary school teacher. He was the class pet, but the children didn't know how to properly handle a gerbil, and squeezed him and accedently broke his tail. So, when I took him home, he was quite affraid of me. He'd squeak and hide every time I'd put my hand near him. So for several weeks I'd put treats in my hand, and let him sit on the palm of my hand until he'd let me hold him. He's still a little shy around strangers, but, he's doing great now. If I just put my hand in his tank, he'll run into my hand. He loves going for runs in his ball around the house.
I love all my animals to death and joined this website in hopes of learning the most that I can to keep them all healthy and happy. Any maybe I can even help others.
