It’s called blushing. Macaws blush just like we do. Watch what he’s doing when this happens, mine means he’s excited or just happy. He starts around his nostrils and his eyes, then when we play the "kissing" game he turns all red. It’s perfectly natural, I’d be more worried that the others don’t do it, they probably need more interaction with humans or stimulating toys. Hope that helps.

Jun 6, 2004 at 12:00 #425283I’m here in the USA. We are a licensed rescue. My wolf is very friendly. The foxes are a little shy to strangers, but the female loves me because I give her duck eggs. Her favorite!
