My cat is 5 yrs old. He came from the pound missing all of his undercoat. We were told it was allergy to fleas, but he has gone through rigorous flea and mite treatments with no help. He constantly licks and chews his pink skin, he is very needy and throws up A LOT. The vet didn’t seem to care and just gives him antibiotics each time we go in. This is a cycle of about every 3 months. It starts with one puke a week, then two until it’s every day. My vet friend said maybe a thyroid issue? We are taking him in but want to be able to advocate well for him.

Maybe you should visit another vet doctor? Sometimes it’s better to hear different specialists..
Do you visit a vet on a regular basis?
I can recommend you to choose veterinarians here: https://www.hirerush.com/anywhere/service/veterinary

I suggest you have the cat tested for thyroid or ringworms.
