Hello, i’m fairly new here… I have been considering another bird, and would appreciate any help deciding which one to get. I have a parakeet and turquoise green cheek conure, both of which are extremely tame and adorable. ;P I absolutely LOVE birds (including chickens, as i have 5 silkies and 1 Easter egger..). My dad and brother used to have a blue Quaker parrot (also known as a monk parakeet), but sadly had to find another home for him due to how loud he was (even though i didn’t mind it..). So, the new bird will have to be relatively quite. (but in a way that’s a plus, as i don’t need to buy another cage, not to mention it is quite large :P). I don’t mind so much what colors he/she is. I would also like a bird that is just a little bit larger than a GGC/a medium sized bird, if you know what i mean. Although i know that they can have different personalities depending on the bird and how it was raised, one with a nice and cuddly temperament would be ideal. I was looking into a Dusky conure… how does that sound? I don’t know very much about how they act, so any comments would be welcome. 🙂 If you have any questions, just ask.
