So ive got my cage, its a chinchilla cage (with smooth bottom not wire) with a few shelves etc. Il be getting 2 baby male rats in about 2-3 weeks. I work in an animal center in college, thing is ive been bitten about 7 times by rats today, each time the bite got harder, theyre all adults but i dont think anyone handles them often but i wanted to get used to rats, but i got bitten, so now im dead nervous about owning rats! Do you think its something il get even if i get them from babies? Or are these adult rats just antisocial? Any tips/advice appreciated!
